Court/Case Document Records Request

  • District Court records requests are generally fulfilled within a few days but may take up to two weeks. If the request is unclear, additional information may be needed. 
  • District Court is not a court of record and is not required to maintain records beyond 3 years from date of disposition.
  • Please note that while there is no charge for regular electronic copies (i.e. email), all other record formats have fees as outlined below. An invoice will be prepared before records are distributed.  

When requesting district court records, you will need the case number(s) and the name of the defendant/party in the case. Case numbers can be found at http://dw.courts.wa.gov/

How should we contact you?

You must provide a valid email address to receive a electronic documents (invoices, records, payment instructions, etc). Please double check the email address for accuracy. 

If you do not have an email, please indicate this in the "Special Instructions or Notes" box below. 

**Please note that for records communications, electronic communication is preferred**

 


Fees

Certified Copy Certified copy of document - 1st page $5.00
  Each additional page $1.00
Paper Copies Per page (cash credit/debit card only) $0.50
Research Research / Data Dissemination (if applicable) ♦ $20.00


For large or intensive requests, there may be a Research/Processing fee of $20 added per RCW 3.62.060. If this fee applies, it will be discussed prior to fulfillment.
